01 A service, not a stage
Full day · 7.00 am – 6.00 pm

A home from home for the long day.

Not every family’s day ends at half past twelve. Day Care wraps the school morning in a calm, supervised afternoon — same rooms, same faces, no rush.

02 The idea

The same school, for longer

Day Care at Headway is not a separate place a child is handed to at the end of the morning. It is the same building, the same familiar staff, and the same unhurried spirit — simply carried on into the afternoon for families who need it.

A child can arrive as early as seven, before the school morning begins, and stay until six in the evening. In between there is their normal class, a proper cooked lunch, a real rest, and a long, gentle afternoon of play, stories and quiet activities — never a television parked in front of a room.

It means a working parent can leave for the day knowing their child is not being minded, but looked after — by people who know them by name.

03 What matters
How we look after the afternoon

Cared for, not just minded.

A long day only works if it is genuinely gentle. Three things make ours so.

Real food & rest

A cooked, balanced lunch and a proper afternoon rest. A child who has eaten and slept well is a happy child at pick-up time.

Familiar faces

The same staff who teach the morning stay for the afternoon. No child is passed to strangers when the school day ends.

Safe & supervised

A secure, gated campus, careful ratios, and a signed record of who collects each child. Nobody leaves with anyone we have not been told about.

Questions parents ask

Day Care, honestly.

Day Care works best alongside one of our stages, because the day flows straight out of the child’s own class and familiar teachers. For most families that is the right fit.

If you need care only, talk to us — we will tell you honestly whether we can serve your child well, and we will never take a place we cannot look after properly.

Yes — a cooked, balanced lunch and an afternoon snack are part of Day Care, prepared fresh on the premises. We keep a note of every child’s allergies and dietary needs, and we are happy to accommodate what a family prefers.

Families who would rather send food from home are welcome to; we simply keep it and serve it at the right time.

It happens, and traffic in Kadawatha is no respecter of good intentions. A quick call is all we ask. Your child stays warm, occupied and unbothered until you arrive — an anxious child at the window is not something we allow to happen.

For families whose evenings are often unpredictable, we can agree a regular later pick-up in advance.

Come and see

Visit an ordinary afternoon.

The best way to judge day care is to see it at three o’clock, mid-afternoon, when the rooms are quiet and busy. Come when the day is really happening.
