Toddler to Upper Kindergarten

Thirteen years, one continuous line.

Four stages that join up, plus day care that wraps around them. Each stage was shaped by the one before it — which is why a child never has to start over.

Day Care 2½ – 6 7.00 am – 6.00 pm By place Full-day care, meals & rest
Class sizes are caps, not targets. We would rather run a Kindergarten of fifteen than fill it to eighteen, and in most years we do. Where a stage is full, we hold a waiting list in date order.
03 Curriculum
Pearson · Edexcel Early Years

What a child actually learns.

Our teachers work to an internationally recognised early-years framework — seven areas of learning, all of them met through play rather than worksheets.

Communication & language

Listening, understanding and speaking. The single biggest predictor of how a child will do later — so we feed it all day, in English.

Early literacy

Letter sounds, blending, name-writing and a daily story — building, gently, towards a child who reads because they want to.

Early mathematics

Counting, quantity, pattern and shape, met in the hands with objects and games long before anything is written down.

Personal & social

Confidence, sharing, managing feelings and getting along — the quiet curriculum that makes all the rest possible.

Understanding the world

People, places, nature and how things work — the garden, the seasons, and endless, useful questions.

Physical & the arts

Running, climbing and balance; painting, music, dough and dance. Big movements and small ones, every single day.

The framework is the plan behind the play, not a set of tests. It tells our teachers what strong development looks like at each age; in the room, it simply looks like a happy, busy child.
Not sure where your child fits?

Bring them in. We will tell you.

Placement is by readiness, not only by birthday. An informal morning with us settles it far better than a form does.
